2.If you are up for shopping, Philippines is the place to be. There are so many choices for shopping malls all over the country. Including the SM Mall of ... ]]> Asian countries are a sure hit if you are looking for sun destinations. Philippines, located in the South East Asia is one of the most beautiful countries you can find in Asia. The country is rich with the natural resources and cultures that can be found nowhere else in the world. There are many reasons to visit the Philippines and I would love to do the honour of naming you some.

1.The beaches in the Philippines are rich with white sand and natural coral reefs. It offers various diving sites for those in the look for beautiful works of the sea. Some famous diving sites are located in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan and Anilao Batangas. If you are more adventurous, you can also choose to dive in the sunken cemetery in Camiguin, Philippines.

The famous Boracay beaches are full of tourists on peak seasons. Boracay is famous for its white sand beaches, night life and mouth watering grilled seafood. If you prefer a quieter beach, you can always head to Palawan with several Islands for the budgets that you have. If you want to follow the lifestyles of Hollywood stars who have visited the island, you should visit Amanpulo or El Nido in Palawan. Palawan also houses one of the nominees for the new 7 wonders of nature, the Subterranean River National Park.

2.If you are up for shopping, Philippines is the place to be. There are so many choices for shopping malls all over the country. Including the SM Mall of Asia which is overlooking the Bay. SM mall of Asia offers a wide range of stores and food choices for their shoppers. It is best to dine on restaurants that overlook the bay at night time. Other malls that I will suggest are Glorietta and Greenbelt in Makati City the business capital of the Philippines. SM malls all over the country and Podium in Pasig City.

If you like cheaper goods you could also try to visit the Divisoria mall located at the heart of Manila. You can haggle to lower prices and buy a lot for as little money as you want.

3.If you are on the look for Philippine’s yummiest delicacies you will have to say there’s too many choices and too little tummy to fill. If you enjoy pork barbeque you should not miss the food court outside Market Market Mall in Taguig City. If you are looking for seafood you can visit Dampa in Paranaque City, in there you can shop for fresh seafood and have them cook it for you however you want it.

4.Philippines also offer a lot of historical and religious places to visit. If you are looking for churches to go to, you should visit Baclaran church in the Philippines. The Fort Santiago is also one of the places where the Philippine’s National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal was once imprisoned.

5.Tricycles! If Thais have their tuk-tuk, Filipinos have tricycles with 3 wheels of course that are used to travel short distances at a very small price. We also have jeepneys for public transport.

6.Christmas season is one of the best seasons to visit the Philippines. Almost every single place is decorated with Christmas lights and their own sets of designs. The Christmas village in Pampangga City showcases different styles of the “Parol” which is a Star that has lights that can be found only in the Philippines.

Whether you are looking for one of a kind city life or a retreat to nature the Philippines is the perfect place for you. There are so many reason why you should visit the Philippines. You can visit the website of Experience Philippines to find more information about the country http://www.experiencephilippin es.ph/ .

The "Sunrise Capital of the Philippines" - Davao Oriental which boast its bonsai forest at Mt. Hamiguitan, breath-taking Tinagong ... ]]> If I’ll recommend a place as best vacation destination, I will highly vote for my very own country – the Pearl of the Orient, Philippines. It is not because it is my birth place but it is truly one of the greatest Asian destinations. It is the perfect place that offers an exhilarating depth of vacation activities and destinations ranging from the exciting, romantic, historical to the exotic.

Tourists who have explored to the 7,107 islands of the archipelago that comprise the Philippines are more than pleasantly overwhelmed by its beauty and the hospitality of the people. It offers spectacular resorts and beaches that provide many unique qualities and recreational possibilities for any taste and culture. From its natural scenery to its people, the bountiful beauty that the Philippines bring to any traveler is an experience that one will never forget.

Aside from the famous vacation spots like Boracay, Dakak, Subic and Puerto Galera, Philippines makes a perfect paradise treat for those who take pleasure in the summer heat of the sun. It showcases white sand beaches with azure crystal-clear waters, coral reefs and amazingly breath-taking sunsets plus a great place for windsurfing and diving waters in the world like Palawan, Pagudpod and Amanpulo.

With its perfect setting for romantic hideaways and nature tripping like Baguio, Tagaytay, Davao and Zamboanga, it also offers fabulous traditional and beloved Filipino food recipes that is surely enjoyable. Because of many cultures that have influenced Filipino cooking from Malay, Chinese, Spanish, Indian, Mexican, Arab and American cuisines, it turned into something uniquely fresh and delicious and that made Philippines a truly the best vacation destination.

Also found in the Philippines are places that though may not be as luxurious as the usual tourist spots, also offers extra ordinary qualities with low prices and warm local hospitality. Few of these are as follows:

The “Marble Country” – Romblon which is made up of twenty beautiful islands which showcase Mt. Guiting-guiting on Sibuyan Island that serves as a challenge to mountain climbers and its beautiful and yet unspoiled turquoise rivers and waterfalls like Tablas beach and Busay Falls.

The “Sunrise Capital of the Philippines” – Davao Oriental which boast its bonsai forest at Mt. Hamiguitan, breath-taking Tinagong Dagat (Hidden Sea), the plesiosaur-shaped Dinosaur Island and the legendary Cape San Agustin, where St. Francis Xavier celebrated his first mass.

Amanpulo Pamalican Island In The Philippines http://www.lost-in-philippines.com/amanpulo-pamalican-island-in-the-philippines/ http://www.lost-in-philippines.com/amanpulo-pamalican-island-in-the-philippines/#comments Sun, 22 Mar 2009 03:42:18 +0000 admin http://www.lost-in-philippines.com/amanpulo-pamalican-island-in-the-philippines/

Arrival at Amanpulo in the Philippines actually starts before you ever get there!!

You are taken on arrival at Manila airport to the private Aman lounge prior to boarding the hotels own private twin prop aircraft which flies you directly to the resort. That is some style!!

The first thing that happens on arrival is that you are given the grand tour of the resort, before being taken to your ‘casitta’/banda/villa.

We were lucky enough to have a beach casitta, which stood only a short path away from what was almost our own private beach, and what a beach. Imagine white talcum powder as far as the eye can sea, backed by the most beautiful shades of turquoise and pale blue and green sea. I thought I’d seen the finest beaches in the world in the Seychelles – not so!!

The casita has wall to wall windows, so the views of the water are absolutely spectacular.

There is a king sized bed, a huge bathroom with dressing area, separate shower and tub, all just A1.

Outside there is a large sun deck with two day beds and a hammock, and all totally private.

You can add to this the most exquisite cotton robe for lying around in, wonderful fluffy towels, toilet products, and fresh fruit every day.

After all that it comes as no surprise to discover that the food was another feature of Ananpulo. There is an a la carte menu, daily specials, and in fact whatever you want the chef will cook, and you can eat anywhere virtually at any time. A gastronomic paradise!!

Especially notable was the beach club paella, and the barbecues.

This isn’t a resort for people who need to be entertained, with most activity being on or under the water, and then of course there is the beach!!

Probably the outstanding thing of all, was the unbelievable subtle and sophisticated level of service, rendering Amanpulo as one of the finest resorts anywhere.
